The Duo 44 Live's dual connectivity was designed to enhance mobile live streams, podcasts, or videos, with both analog (TRRS) and digital (USB-C) connections for mobile devices, along with adjustable input level and monitoring.
From a one-man show to a full live band, users can broadcast their mix at ultra-low latency directly to their mobile device and blend the audio together with the output of their mobile device for instant audience reactions. The interface features two microphone preamps with +48v phantom power, and two instrument inputs, allowing users to hook up a condenser or dynamic microphone, and a guitar or bass to lay down their ideas. The high-end ADDA converters provide significant dynamic range to ensure performances are captured in the greatest of detail.
Users can connect powered monitors to the TRS line output jacks and headphones to the stereo output jack on the front panel, and use Direct Monitoring to hear themselves with zero latency while recording. The included ProDriver4 software (Windows only) includes a routing matrix and virtual signal router to redirect audio from any source on the computer, as well as a plugin rack to host favorite VST or Direct X plugins without having to open a DAW. Users can save their favorite plugin chains as presets and recall them during their session or live on stage in real time.
In terms of compatibility, the Duo 44 Live features a fast USB 2.0 connection (bus-powered) and is compatible with both Mac and PC. It also includes MIDI I/O, allowing users to connect MIDI devices. The interface comes bundled with free recording software, such as Bitwig Studio 8-Track, Tracktion DAW Essentials, and Dotec Audio plugins, all available via download upon purchase and registration.
